Sole Setta

Cincinnati, 1966-7

pic

Sole Setta looks, and sounds, like they were blue eyed soul/show band. They likely played a lot of school dances as well as teen club shows. The band included Jerry DiTullio (rhythm guitar) and Carey Hunley (lead guitar) both from Hughes HS near the U Of Cincinnati, Mike Steed (organ) from Taylor HS, Jerry Bartone (drums) from McNichols HS, Eddie WIlcher (vocals) from Mt. Orab HS (a few miles east of Cincinnai), and Wayne Greatorex on bass.

They had one 45 for Counterpart/Great Scott, a soul/garage dance styled A side "Work It Out" backed with "Love Is Something". The group gets writer credit, the song were recorded at Allen-Martin in Louisville, KY, like much of the Counterpart output.
