the Pound and Four Ounces

Cleveland, 1966-7

An advanced question for Cleveland Rock Trivia - which Cleveland band lists the Pound and Four Ounces in the LP credits? tick...tick...tick....OK, it's Silk. The reason why....Randy Sabo was in this band before joining the Tree Stumps/Silk.

In addition to Randy on organ, the band was Skip Cooper (drums), Frank Longa (rhythm guitar), Jim Chapler (bass), and Joe Dee (lead guitar). Several of the band members attended St. John Cantius High School.

The band played a few teen dances during 1966-7, they were probably together for a year or so. There is one listing for them playing the Town and Campus, June 1967.

Randy joined the Tree Stumps sometime early-mid 1968.

No recordings by the band.
