the Loved Ones

Cincinnati, 1966-7

The Loved Ones were students at Indian Hills High School. The band, as per this 1967 newspaper clipping, included Rick Wulff as lead singer/guitar ; Rob Krehbiel on organ and guitar ; Frank Holterhoff on bass, Steve Kline on drums, and Adam Holterhoff on lead guitar.

They played locally, some school/teen dances mostly, it seems.

In 1967 they made a 45, doing cover of the Temptations' "My Girl" and the Wilson Pickett soul classic "Mionight Hour". Seems like decent sized city in Ohio had a band that recorded MH and the Loved Ones made Cincinnati's contribution.
