The Lost Children are best known for being the band that Jamie Lyons left to join the Music Explosion (Chosen Few at the time). The band included Jamie, Charles Estep, and Larry Hughes from Galion, and Ted Muntis and Brian Conklin (organ) from Colonel Crawford HS.

After Jamie left, the band continued into 1967, playing the local circuit including Snow Trails and the Din Den. Like many of their other mid-Ohio band peers, they pariticipated in several Battle of the Band contests. They did not make any studio recordings.

Brian Conklin was drafted in mid 1967. The band lasted a little longer. After he got out of the service, he was in Pound of Coke. but more notably, he played keyboards for Johhny Holiday and Guardrail, and after they split off, Moon.
