Jimmy Love / the Dynamic Soul Penetrators
Cleveland, early 1960s - mid 1970s
Jimmy Love was a Cleveland R&B/soul singer. Few details are known about him.
He made a R&B 45 for the Violet label in 1963. The songs were written by Jimmy Williams, so we will assume Williams and Jimmy Love are the same person, and Jimmy Love was a stage name.
He disappears - at least from the Call and Post - until 1971 when he's back fronting a group called the Dynamic Soul Penetrators. Funny how John Fuster reacts to the band's name as would a mid 1960s 'Establishment' writer mused about teen rock band names. Another ad shows the band name as Dynamic Soul Penetrators.
There's no reference to Jimmy after 1973.
