the Heartbreakers

Cleveland, late 1950s

The Heartbreakers were a teenage girl vocal group from Shaker Heights. There is not much known about them, two mentions in the Plain Dealer newspaper, one says their were a quartet, the other a trio.

They had one 45 on the Cos-De label. The group is backed by the Harry Hershey Orchestra, a well known Cleveland band led by Hershey, who played piano and was the Cleveland Indians' organist for many years. The writer credits are Semple, Young, and McCare.
