Daze Endz

Youngstown, 1967-9

The founder and leader of this teen band was Chris Rochow, previously with the Wild Breed. For most of the band's history Jim Gustafson was the lead guitar player, later with Biggy Ratt and Poobah.

The Daze Endz played the Cove at Idora Park, the Bugout, and other local teen dances. In early 1968 they recorded a 45 at WAM/United Audio, a nice soulish original called "What Can I Do" that includes a rippin' solo by Gustafson, with the soul standard "Knock On Wood" as the flip. The horn players heard on the record were not part of the band.
