Conrad and the Van-Dells

Vandalia, 1959-1960

Conrad and the Van-Dells were a teen rock-n-roll band from Vandalia, a northern suburb of Dayton. The group got their name from leader and guitarist Conrad Putzan, and the name of their hometown.

The band recorded a 45 of two rock instrumentals, with prominent guitar and a sax break. The record was issued on the BMC label from Dayton. The label was owned by WING DJ Les Bodine.

Another 45 on BMC by Brenda Craft credits the "Van-Dells Orchestra". The record is pop, not rock-n-roll. There is no info on Brenda Craft that we could find.
