Atlantis Philharmonic / Atlantis

Cleveland, 1970-6

This band started out as Atlantis. The founder and leader was Joe DiFazio, from Lakewood, with Royce Gibson on drums. They became Atlantis Philharmonic (presumably because there was many bands named Atlantis) and played out as a two member band, with DiFazio alternating on guitar and keyboards. They actually played at my high school (Westlake) in 1974. They released one LP on the Chicago-based Dharma label. Shortly after the LP was released, Roger Lewis (formerly of Freeport, RMA, and the Poppy) joined on guitar. I've also seen a billing for the band in late 1975 where Myron Grombacher was listed as the drummer.
