Tony Mac

Logan, 1964

Tony Mac was the stage name for Marvin McDaniel. He was likely from the Logan area. There is nothing found in the local papers, that we could search, of any Tony Mac public performances.

He recorded three songs released on two 45s. The first 45 was on the Hilltop/Prism subsidiary N&S. Tony/Marvin wrote both sides, with the A side 'the Grind" being a teen rocker and the flip side a teen ballad. The only other record on the N&S label was by the Nesters, the connection between the artists is not known.

Tony's second, and last, as far we can tell, was a country rocker remake of "Johnny B Goode", backed with the previously issued "Love's Hall Of Fame".

We're not abel to find out anything else about Tony.
