Symphonics

East Liverpool, early 1960s

The Symphonics were a four member vocal group, led by Sheridan Battistelli with Craig O'Neil, Chuck Capwell, and Dick Kelley. They were all High School students except for Sheridan who graduated in 1960. There's one 45 by them, a cover of the song "Millionaire Hobo" which was originally recorded by the Fantastics. The other side "She's My Girl" is an original. The 45 is on the one-off Bock label which was part of the Manhattan/Patrice operation.

According to a newspaper article of the time, "She's My Girl" got voted top record of the week on EL station WOHI and got airplay in Cleveland.

It is not known who plays backing, the Kampus Kids aka Riki and the Rikatones were used by the label as a backing band on other 45s, but they don't sound like the band on this record.
