 the 7th House

Cleveland, early 1970s

The 7th House or Seventh House were a group mentored by the Donations, primarily Sherman Satchel and Walt Johnson. The group included 3 siblings, Larry Dogan, Susan Dogan, Linda Dogan, and James Smart. They didn't seem to have much of a performing resume. They did perform at an East Tech High School event. The Dogans were students at Glenville HS.

They made one 45, a very nice ballad "I Can't Believe You Are Mine" and the more uptempo "Can Your Find Your Way (Through A Changing World), which has a Fifth Dimension style sound. Sherman and Walt are credited as the songwriters and arrangers.

The songs were first issued on a rare demo 45 using the label name Dee'O, the Donations own label, later spelled Dee'Os. There is no artist credit on the label. A few months later the songs were re-released on De Brossard.
