the Senators

Frankfort, 1965-6

The Senators were brothers Rick, Dale and Gary Knisley, Chauncey Kinnamon, Shirley Kinnamon Knisley, and Lonnie Stroop. The band members were from the Frankfort area, a village between Chillcothe and Washington Court House. Gary and Shirley were married. 

The band recorded a 45 as part of the Prism 'package plan' deal. They recorded a version of the standard "Shake A Tail Feather" and the original "Deloris".

The band played a lot in Chillicothe and Washington Court House and were pretty popular for a year or so.

Gary was killed in a car accident in December 1969.
