the Scepters

Warren, 1964-6

The Scepters included Roger Lewis (guitar), Andy Graham (keyboards), Rod Bender (bass), and John Yurtin (drums). This swingin' foursome played numerous teen dances around town with their mix of danceable frat and British Invasion sounds. John Matsic replaced Roger on guitar.

In 1965 they recorded a version of "California Sun" and an original called "All Night Long" at Audio Recording and had a 100 or so copies pressed at Pama. Both sides are energetic teen rockers that no doubt packed the dance floor when played live.
