the Royal Bloos

Bealsville, 1967-9

The Royal Bloos came fromm Bealsville, a small town deep in SE Ohio. They recorded one 45, a nice moody teen garage two-sider. John Wain wrote both sides.

In 1967 the band placed third in a Urichsville band battle.

The band recorded the 45 in Paden City, WV, just across the Ohio River. The label/studio was run by Bob Cecil, who used his house. Bob was related by marriage to Bob Bieberthaler, who ran the Wasp record label in Tacoma, WA.

In the late 1970s John Wain recorded an LP with Wooden Elephant, a folk-rock group. He is deceased.
