 Quimm

Marietta, early-mid 1970s

This band was a trio led by Don Staats. Don was a DJ and music director on the Marietta radio station WMOA. A promo paper was made by Counterpart for the band's 45 on that label. Staats played guitar, bass, and vocal. Rick Cale was the drummer and Mike Wilson played keyboards. They looked in their late teens or early 20s.

The band made two 45s, the first one recorded at Appalachia Sound and released on the studio's Revelation record. The record has a harder rock sound.

There are no mentions of the band in the SE Ohio papers, but some of the papers from that area including Marietta are not available online.

Yes, we are aware that Quimm is a slang term for a part of female anatomy, thank you, we don't need any more reminders.
