Paragons

Marietta, 1965-6

The Paragons recorded a good raw teen garage 45 in 1965. The band was from Marietta although the record label is from Parkersburg, WV about 20 miles south across the Ohio river. The label is either Hunger or "From Hunger".

Russ Newbanks was the band's guitarist. He wrote the rocker "All I Can Do". He later played in some other southern Ohio bands. Frank Christy is the songwriter for the instrumental B side which sounds a bit like "Lonely Bull" by the Tijuana Brass, with combo organ. Frank was probably the band's organ player.
