the Notations
Cincinnati, 1961
The Notations recorded one 45 for the Wonder label. There is nothing known about the group that we can find out, no mentions in the papers or music trade magazines.
The Wonder label was run by Cincinnatian Ted Mullins, who gained his fame in country music. The two songs recorded by the Notations were written by him and Rusty York. The label text mentions the group had "R&B Vocals" probably to alert folks that that the sound was not typical for the label.
Whoever they were, they had a nice polished sound and the record is highly sought after by vocal group collectors
