Cleveland, 1974

A super obscure 45 credited to the New Year was issued on the 360 Degrees label. The sides are credited to Lynn Tolliver, a Cleveland DJ and occasional songwriter who also worked for MCA records. The A "My Bleeding Wound" is a heavy sung/spoken 'primal scream' oddity that could be described if Cleveland's Pi Corp merged John Lennon's "Mother" with the mood of Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" LP. Someone plays what sounds like a guitar run through an Echoplex. The b-side is a ghetto counterculture goof on Bryan MacGregor's huge spoken word hit "the Americans". The 45 was pressed by Boddie and only a few copies are accounted for
