 Newt Hill

Cleveland? 1967

There is nothing known about Newt Hill, a folk singer who recorded a very obscure 45 with a Cleveland. The record was issued on the Boyco label, which was 'owned' by T.L. Boyer. The record was pressed at Pama and comes with a hard cover sleeve of a portrait painting on the front and lyrics on the back. "Demonstration Record" is printed on the sleeve and stamped on the record.

The record's sound is pretty comtemporary solo guitar and singer folk with lyrics that reference military service.

There is nothing we could find about Hill, Boyer, or Boyco in the newspapers from the time. The address on the record is a residential home in the Warrensvillle Heights suburb of Cleveland.
