 Mike Anthony

Lorain? 1961

Mike Anthony is the name used by an unknown singer who recorded a 45 in 1961. The record has a teen rocker sound. The writers credits are Lee Byrda on one side and Sal Vecchio on the other. Mike Anthony is very likely a stage name, the singer's real first name was possibly Anthony.

A few copies were found in Avon, Ohio around 1990 and a few more copies have turned up in the area over the years. A search for the name Lee Byrda shows no one by than name is mentioned online.

In 1966 a couple men named Byrda were mentioned in the Lorain paper as initiating a record label called Hi Ho records. It's very likely that the Byrda on the 45 was one of them. Also, Sal Vecchio could have been a mistake for the surname Del Vecchio.
