Marvin Gardens / Magic
Cleveland, 1971-5
This Cleveland band played the Agora, Cyrus Erie West, and other local clubs in the early 70s. The band included Rich Reising, Chris Reising (no relation), Steve Knill (bass), and John Hart (drums). On Aug 1, 1973 (as announced in the Plain Dealer) Dan Hrdlicka, formely of Circus, joined the band replacing Chris Reising and they changed their name to Magic.
As Magic, they were probably best known for being Eric Carmen's backing band when he recorded his first solo LP.
There was an earlier band named Magic with no connection to this band.
