the Mark III
Toledo, late 1968-70
The Mark III were a predecessor to Unique Blend, with Melvin Kinnebrew as at least one common member.
They record an excellent soul 45 in Detroit with Howard Collins/Chason productions behind the effort. The record was released on the Stop label from and Quality records in Canada. Howard had a brief deal with Canadian record labels and got this, and the Paul Griffin 44, released up north about the same time. An article in the May 24, 1969 Cashbox mentions both.
