the Majority of Six / the Majority of Six + 1

Bowling Green, 1967-9

This Majority of SIx were all Bowling Green State University students. The band size seems to have varied over the two years they played, as they used the superlative Majority Of Six + 1 a few times. A BGSU newspaper said that all six members belonged to the Delta Upsilon fraternity.

The band played school parties and a couple campus bars, the Griffin and the Rat. They seemed to have a good following and were one of top school bands.

They released one 45 on CEI, a cover of the Music Explosion's "I See the Light" where the singer mumbles the apparently contreversial line "Having my kid". The 45 was rumored to exist on a vanity label but that is not confirmed.
