Louie and the Ambassadors

Newark, early 1960s

Don't know too much about this band, they seem to have been from the Newark area. Louie's name is Louis Sleeman.

They made a 45 on Hilltop, a cover of the Jackie Wilson song "Talk That Talk" that changes the sound into a sax driven twist rocker. The flip side is an original. The record say a "Carl Day production", Day was a DJ from the Coshocton, and later Mt. Vernon, area and produced a couple more Hilltop records and some other records later in the 1960s.
