Ken Pettiford
Cincinnati, 1974-5
Ken Pettiford recorded one 45 - just one song - for Counterpart. He recorded "Bless Us All" written by Fred Leonard and George Thompson, who had previously collaborated on the Ambushers 45. The 45 was released with a stereo and mono mix of the song, as were many promo records from the time. but there doesn't seem to be any other version of the record with two sides so the one song is all we have.
In the article, Ken mentions how he went to the TV studio to perform. The Tom Hopkins article from November 12, 1974, about 3 months before the lead story gives some background.
Ken's name reappears in 1976, and he was said to be from Springfield. It's possible there were two different people.
That's all we have for now.
