Johnny Blue / John Goske
Youngstown, 1950s-1960s
John Goske was a well known musician in Youngstown. He started in the 1940s and specialized in the Hawaiian guitar. He taught at local music stores and knew other prominent local musicans, Tony March being one of them.
He recorded a 45 for Tammy under the name of Johnny Blue. It's a pretty rockin' sound from a guy who was 36 years old.
He is also co-writer credited on the Edsels song "Bone Shaker Joe" in 1961 and two songs recorded byt Karen Sue Kuchmaner for her first record in 1962.
He moved to California in the early 1970s and contiuned to teach and play music.
