Jan Jones

Cleveland, 1979-80

We don't know much about this Cleveland area soul singer who recorded one 45 for Day-Wood. There was a well known Cleveland TV personality named Jan Jones but they are two different people.

The record has a nice sound, one of the last local 45s that featured a classic soul sound not overdone by disco and hiphop influences. The record was not a big seller on its release and most of the copies weres shortly imported to the UK and Japan.
