Cleveland, 1969-73

Impetus were a top horn-rock band during their existence. The group started as the Brass Ring - appropriate for their brassy sound -  and changed their name to Impetus. The band's roots extend further to the Risin' Sons, whom several members left and started the Brass Ring.

The group was led by husband and wife team Tom and Carol Veto. Tom played drums and Carol was a lead singer. Other members included Dave Taddie on trombone and Mike Fisher on trumpet. Redda Robbins was their manager.

The group played at the Agora, Plato, Socrates' Cave, and constantly around town. They don't seem to have made any recordings/
