Icarus

Salem, 1975-76

Icarus recorded a 45 of local style hard rock in 1975. The band was formed from the demise of Drift, with Bill Henceroth (bass) nad Lee Campanelli (drums) starting the band. Dave Morgan, from East Liverpool, was on lead guitar and Salem High School student Greg Smith played guitar and organ. 

The band played many live shows and dances from Salem down to East Liverpool in their two year or so existence. In 1976, Jeff Dowd replaced Lee, and the band was supposed to play couple weeks at the Wing Ding club in Virginia Beach.
