the Hustlers


Columbus, 1965

The Hustlers were a band of college students from Columbus. They were not from Ohio State, but Denison, a small private college in the huge shadow of tOSU. 

The group recorded an LP at Coronet that includes mostly teen dance band favorites. The LP has a printed front cover and paste on back. The band probably got their name from the pool playing con men (popularized by the Paul Newman movie from a few years previous).
