the Crescendos

Leetonia/Columbiana, 1964-6

A popular teen band in the south Youngstown area circuit, they recorded their lone 45 at Gateway and got it distributed by the Executioners' Action label. The band was led by Jim Altomare (vocals, guitar). Jim Ginther was the drummer. The band had some other members come and go but they stayed a four member band.

They played a lot in Salem, East Liverpool, and places in between.

Jim Ginther is deceased.
