the City Limits

??, 1968

A group named the City Limits made a good psychedelic 45 in 1968, pressed at QCA. Records pressed at QCA can be from most of the US, including the South and the Midwest.

Several used copies of the record have turned up in SW Ohio suggesting it may be from there. Since this record has a fair amount of collector interest, we hope that posting it here may uncover some information. The is no info on the record  and no trace in BMI or copyrights. CIty Limits was used by other bands in the US, including one from the Seatte area, but that is not the band on this record.

"Crystal Ball" is the side of interest, appreaciated by fans of 'moody psych' and soul ballads. The other side is a cover of the pop standard.."Kiss me once, kiss me twice, it's been a long long time...", an odd choice for a teen band unless they were trying to score points with their parents' generation.
