Black Leather Touch

Columbus, 1975-81

A hard rockin' band that had appeal to fans of commercial rock, heavy metal, and punk, Black Leather Touch stood out in the Columbus rock scene for a few years. The band included twin brothers Jerry and Garry Blinn (bass and lead guitar), with Tommy Cash (guitar/vocals) and Greg Hall (drums).

The band made one 45, in 1980. The A side is a good Chuck Berry/pub rock song "Teenage Frustration" - it resembles a bit of the similarly titled Eddie and the Hot Rods song :"Teenage Depression". The band's sound seemed to be descirbed as a mid Ohio/Detroit styled hard rock/pub rock mix.

They also recorded a song "Kill The Pain" for a Columbus radio station "hometown" LP in 1981.

The band has played several reunion shows in the 2010s.
