Austintown, 1968-70

This band has the unique distinction of recording a theme song for their high school "yearbook on record". Entitled "The Groovy Sound of Fitch", after Fitch High School in Austintown (suburban Youngstown), it's about a minute long and drops the Ford Auto "better ideas" ad theme into the song. The Back Pages were a real band and active in the local teen clubs in '68/9.

The band had three members, Jack Hingle (guitar), Bob Laithwaite (bass), and Patrick Reynolds (drums). All three were students at Fitch HS.
