Cincinnati, early 1960s

April 1963

Olimpic records moved from Columbus to Cincinnati in 1963. Most of the label's artists after the move were from the Cincy area. The Avalons were one of the best R&B vocal groups on the label.

The group recorded one 45 for Olimpic. They covered the Cole Porter classic "Begin The Beguine" and had an original song, "Malanese" on the flip side. The song was credited to George Parrom and the Avalons.
