Aswads

Springfield, early 1970s

This group recorded a 45 at Musicol, with a nice vocal on the Impressions' song "I'm So Proud". The Aswads were a self contained band, but the flip side, a fierce instrumental of the oft-recorded James Brown song "There Was A Time", is credited to the Naturall Band. It's possible this was a "split 45".
