We don’t know anything about Mr. Green, other than he recorded at least one 45 for a label called Globe International Records from Cleveland. Despite the ambitious name the label does not seem to have released more than this record. The 45 was pressed by Boddie and from the sound, also recorded there. The sound is uptempo southern soul on “It’s All Your Fault” and deep soul on “They Are Talking”. Green wrote both songs and the publishing is “Susie Music BMI”, probably his wife’s name. I found my copy of the record in a Cleveland thrift shop during the first Reagan administration.
