R.D. Globe

R.D. Globe was owned by Dewey Ringhiser Jr. - the RD stands for Rhythm Drifters, his band. The first couple records list a PO Box in Logan. The next few records list Route 1 in Logan, but a 1960 newspaper story lists the location as Route 75, south of Logan.

The last 45 (known to us) was released in 1960. Several years later, with the address at 753 Beck Rd in Lancaster, Dewey, under his nickname of "Country Beaver", released an LP. Based on the long hair of one of the band members, the LP probably dates about 1970. Another gospel LP by the Miracle Aires was definitely released in 1970 from the Rite numbers. The two LPs are the last known R.D. Globe records.
