Jason was the recording pseudonym for Joe Waters, later of the Vienna Boys Choir, Appalachia Sound studios, and the Recording Workshop. Although the details are unknown, the record is believed to have been a one –off session using local musicians. Joe wrote the songs and sings lead. The record was probably recorded at Magnetic in Columbus, as it uses the house Spinner label and DoNiVe publishing. The sound on the record is electric folk rock, a more primitive precursor to the VBC 45.
