Willowick, 1965-9
A combo from Cleveland eastern suburb of Willowick, they recorded several demos, at least one of which, a Cleveland Recording acetate "Off My Mind" / "I'm Not Living", are excellent garage sides. They got a contract with Capitol and recorded an LP of songs in New York with Milan (aka "Leather Boy") producing. One 45, the bubblegummy "Chewing Gun Kid" was released under Ice Cream, a name assigned by Capitol. The LP was scheduled under the name "Pie Ala Mode" but never issued since the 45 did not get much action.
