Globe International was owned by Lloyd Hugo. He was living in Rocky River at the time. The label seems to have been active for a year at the most, all the known records were released in 1971. Bernie Toorish was also involved with the label.Toorish had been in the Four Lads but 'retired' to work in Cleveland's lively lounge scene around 1970. The two also operated Big Bear Productions.
Globe used Boddie to press their first 4 records, than switched to ARP in Michigan.
Globe also ran classified ads in the Plain Dealer soliciting recordings.
